First off, Happy First Day of Spring!!
So it's actually been about a month since I updated. I'm going to shoot for once a month instead of every two weeks. That was a bit hard of an idea to keep. If I can do an extra one, then I can be proud of myself for doing extra!!
Things are definitely getting better around here. Well, nothing's actually changing except for me, so I guess I should more correctly say that I'm getting better. Things are looking up. Hope is there again. And I'm looking forward to graduating in May and going off to college this year.
I'd like to leave one last thing before my features of this past month. We are currently in Holy Week, though the latter half of it. It's the most crucial, though, and I encourage everyone to go to their churches this weekend (especially tomorrow, Good Friday, and Sunday, Easter). Please don't take something like this for granted. Jesus' death was a sacrifice so strong for us, mere humans that definitely don't deserve it. But He still died for us, and rose again, so we should really be solemn until Sunday, when we can truly celebrate His resurrection and forgiveness of our sins.

~FEATURES~
Traditional Art
--Violin Music by *EddieTheYeti
I came across this the other day just looking around at random people's galleries. Seeing a violin, I was of course interested, especially because it's so unique.
--Luke Skywalker by ~goshnessmaggy
Though there aren't too many deviations in her gallery yet, they are all rather great. Especially this Luke Skywalker one.
Digital Art
-- Cast your soul by *Tolkienmaster
I've always been a fan of her gallery. I really like this somewhat recent one, which actually has already gotten a big positive response; its tones are nice and dark, well done. I encourage a look at her gallery too!
--FoRgoTTen MeLodY by *intano
This is another really well done piece, with a violin of course. Another good gallery too.
--lugubrious by =TheRevolutionX
I really love the dark tones of this piece. This has a mixed tone with romanticism and sorrow.
--Fantasy Life by *Na-TuraL
This deviant isn't yet popular and doesn't have too many works yet, but the talent is definitely there while his popularlity will grow quickly here. This piece is excellent in detail, great sharpness and clarity.
Photography
--Marcuria by `larafairie
Though she definitely already has a great reputation, I really love her work and wanted to show one of my recent favorites. I love the silhouette type image and the colors are great.
Literature
--A Stone for Bread and Colored Pins by ~Drkc123
The first one is an absolutely amazing short story. I mean... it's an allegory, so be prepared when you read it to look for the symbolism. It's pretty emotional if you read it correctly. ^_^ The second one is a really well-written poem. Check them both out.
Customization
--Broken Heart and First kiss Wallpaper by *pincel3d
So they don't exactly go together... heh. The first is a great example of a style I really love and pincel3d is really good at this style. The second is just one of the few "First Love" series--they're all really cute. ^_^
Fan Art
Jack Sparrow Art (my pick)
--Captain Jack Sparrow by ~Fenchan
I found this one quickly in my search, and it's an amazing likeness. Also my favorite thing in her gallery.
Portal Art (Guest Pick)
--Portal by ~Belus
i like the way the portal painting one isn't a straight realistic image, but a quick "speedpaint" as he called it, and the smudgy nature of the single layer make it look cool (art chosen with commentary by ~Drkc123)
End of the second features! Not as much as last time, but yeah. I think I'll get better at this eventually! ^_^
May your swords stay sharp!

See enough horror and experience enough pain and you become separated from your self.

An artist must create as often as possible. To cease this task is, to the soul of an artist, as ceasing to breathe.

"I wonder what's in a book while it's closed. I know it's full of letters printed on paper, but [..] something must be happening, because as soon as I open it, there's a whole story with people I don't know yet and all kinds of adventures and battles."
